my first post

So first, I wanna give some credit to my mommy who has an awesome blog on here, MoInk (feel free to check her out) who turned me on to blogger. I'm not really sure what I want my first post to be about so I'll just throw some stuff out there.
Did you know that in Ohio, while it is legal to breastfeed in any public place that the mother is allowed to be in, that it is the only breastfeeding law in Ohio? Which is great, right? Sure, while it's all fine and dandy (actually, it's really good that Ohio decided to come around), there are other issues that need to be addressed. In other states (California, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington) have a law that says a job has to allow a mother to pump in a private place on their break, and the job has to allow a break to do this. That is just one example of other breastfeeding laws (others include jury duty, breastfeeding education, etc). While I will never understand how some states can call bf'ing in public is considered indecient exposure, I don't understand why women aren't more educated about it and sometimes, it's still looked at as taboo. Thats what are boobs are for people! I am currently breastfeeding my first child, Raelynn. She turned nine months today! She is a little booby monster, and while she is older than most people will breastfeed for, I would not change my lifestyle for anything.
Speaking of babies.. Why is it that grandparents think they are entitled to do whatever they want with your kid? I don't get it. For instance, my child hasn't grown at all since November. Yea.. it's February. At first I'm thinkin, geez she is a little piglet, how has she not gained any weight? Then I think about it a little more... My dad and his girlfriend spend A LOT of time with her and all they feed her is sugar junk food and maybe that is a reason for it. Or maybe it's cuz my husband and I are little people. Who knows. But back to the grandparents. Tell me why, even when you say something, over and over about what they shovel into her mouth, they act like you said nothing? Whatever.
Well, I'm out of time for tonight. More later!
